Marina Graphic Center places a high priority on our employees' safety and well being. This philosophy works hand in hand with protecting the environment. Our goal is to provide the safest and cleanest facility possible. MGC employees come to work knowing that the materials they use during the entire production process contain the absolute lowest in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and other harmful chemicals.
MGC exceeds all state and federal requirements for the safe handling of all VOC emitting chemicals and materials. We also have an extensive recycling program in place for paper, corrugated, ink, plastic, aluminum, and waste chemicals. As an FSC® certified printer, we use process-less free platemaking, which is safer for the environment and saves thousands of gallons of water per year. All of our press solvents are AQMD approved low-VOC chemicals. By using VOC-free inks, we continue to minimize our environmental footprint. MGC also uses a special filtration system to filter press fountain solution. This filtration process allows our presses to print cleaner and reduce fountain solution replacement, minimizing chemicals released into the waste stream. Our 54,000 sqft. facility also uses energy efficient light fixtures and bulbs.
